Opens at the Palazzo Reale in Milan The Great Exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci
At Expo 2015, therefore, the most important ever organized in Italy. The exhibition, sponsored by the City of Milan and created and produced by Palazzo Reale and Skira Editore, scheduled from 16 April 2015, represents a unique opportunity to see and understand in an overview of the extraordinary complexity of this figure as artist, painter and draftsman, and, in part, his work as a scientist and technologist, never seen in the exhibitions so far realized.
Significant number of paintings by Leonardo in the exhibition: St. Jerome in the Pinacoteca Vaticana, Dreyfuss Madonna of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, Scapiliata of the National Gallery of Parma. Particularly important, then, the loan of three paintings from the Louvre Museum: Fine Ferronière, Annunciation, St. John the Baptist.
